Is Katana + Websockets being used by anyone in production?

Jul 29, 2014 at 12:47 AM
We have seen a lot that says that in the C# world, that wrapping a websocket app (using signalR or xsocket or _) inside a katana hosted windows service is "the way to go."

The articles and demos all look great.

But is anyone actually in production on this stack? (We can't find any mentions)

SignalR runs on OWIN & Katana and has been deployed in many production applications. Here are a few:

I can't say specifically how many of them are using WebSockets but I know at least a few of them are, including some large scale deployments.

That is a great list!

But what about katana -- are production sites running on katana? (With or without signalR)

Most or all sites running SignalR do so on Katana, so yes.
